SENIOR CHEMIST LAB. (PMR)
To support our operations with a variety of projects and challenging tasks in Smelter, we are looking for highly motivated professionals eager for brave thinking, foster innovation, and build collaboration to achieve operational excellence.
Some of your duties will include:
- To conduct accurate and timely testing and analysis of input, output and in-process material at the PMR Laboratory at Amman Mineral Industri in Sumbawa Island in Indonesia for quality control, quality assurance and metal accounting with respect to production of goldbar, silver bar, selenium) and by-products Tellurium and Platinum & Palladium Group Metal (PGM).
- To achieve norms of productivity and learn continuously towards improvement of technical competencies and multiskilling.
- Undertaking testing of samples as well as analysis of test results of the input, output and in-process materials at every stage of the precious metal refining process
- Analysis of anodeslime, precious metal in process sample, gold bullion, silver bullion, selenium, PMR slag
- Method preparation & validation, calibration standard preparation.
- Undertaking accurate and continuous maintenance of data with respect to testing and analysis and reporting on time
- Implementing SOPs, Wis and quality protocols
- Undertaking sampling and analysis of raw material, in-process samples, byproduct samples and finished good for recovery purpose
What skills and experience do you need?
- Graduate in Chemistry, Diploma Engineer/ Trade certificate in Chemical/ Metallurgical engineering
- Experience in laboratory of PMR Min. 5-7 years with similar position
- Understanding of laboratory management system
- Understanding of copper smelting operations and precious metal refinery
- Understanding of qualitysystems, analytical tools and techniques
- Lab instrument knowledge-ICP, AAS, XRF, S-OES, Fire Assay, Titration.
- Method development, instrument calibration, calibration standard preparation
- Planning and organization skills
- Analytical decision making
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Interpersonal effectiveness and Conflict management
- Customer orientation
- Ableto speak in English is a must
- Having Communication and time management skill
