PURCHASING & EXPEDITING SUPERVISOR.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure all aspects of managing the Purchasing function are being undertaken in accordance with entity procedures and good working practice.
- To control and overseeing purchasing activities, carried out effectively and efficiently, in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of MDA, safety and the environment to achieve production targets.
- Conduct periodic supplier performance rating and drive for improvement.
- Overseeing the logistics of the delivery process from vendor, in coordination with relevant parties (customs, transportation agencies, etc.) to allow the delivery of effective and efficient.
- Provide support and take responsibility to drive objectives of the Inventory and Warehousing Departments, provide information to populate weekly and monthly supply department reports.
- Update Order Status on the System / Pronto, Provide Weekly Purchase Order Status Report, and Provide Weekly Expediting Report to all end users.
- Giving consideration about Budget to make available sufficient funds to meet the needs of the activity in the field.
- Develop plans and priorities, request approval from superior and to ensure the realization of the procurement of goods and services are met in accordance with the priorities.
- Supervise and carry out procurement activities with respect to the specification of the user, vendor quality, and price requirements of the vendor to ensure the availability of goods and services according to user needs.
- Commitment to the safety culture and initiatives, Hazard awareness and reporting, identifying risks and actively complete task assessments to determine best practice and opportunity for improvement, and Overseeing the implementation of SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and JSEA (Job Safety Environmental Analysis) in all activities in the Purchasing to achieve efficient operations, effective and safe.
Requirements:
- S1 in engineering with Min 10 years experiences in Procurement area at Gold Mining.
- Good knowledge of quality the materials according to international standard specification.
- Familiar with Procurement procedure and commence Practice of Procurement.
- Previous experience within a gold mine operation and knowledge of procurement process.
- Purchasing Indirect Materials like equipment and spare parts.
- Preferably have POP certification.
- Good working knowledge of Pronto Procurement & Inventory System
- Ability to monitor key material supply market to ensure continuous support, to drive cost reduction programs, to conduct periodic supplier performance rating and drive for improvement, to improve processes and procurement methodologies to achieve work efficiency, implement and develop strategies and improve existing contract terms and condition with supplier, to work effectively on own or as part of a team with minimal supervision, to train or otherwise mentor subordinate staff, to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and ability to work in an environment with multiple nationalities.
- Computer Literate and English Certification must have good command of both written & spoken English.
- Good communication skills, both written & oral, time manageable and target oriented, and honest.
