PROCUREMENT OFFICER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Work quickly and precisely
- Understanding of fundamental procurement concepts within the supply chain.
- Familiarity with common maritime goods and equipment.
- Ability to analyse data and negotiate effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP platforms (if applicable).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and identify vendors and gather information about the goods and services required.
- Analyse price quotations from vendors (both internal and external) concerning the specifications of the products and the scope of services.
- Negotiate with vendors based on the terms and conditions of purchase.
- Coordinate with requestors to address any discrepancies between offered specifications and the requested products/services.
- Manage the issuance of Purchase Orders.
